Alteration and addition to a 1940s weatherboard house. The design locates a double garage and master bedroom to the side of the existing house and inserts a stairwell between the existing and new section to link the two forms. New cladding is installed over the front of the existing section and the existing roof pitch is retained and used in the design of the addition to give the house a unified contemporary appearance.
