A new two-storey house in the light industrial area of Maryville. The building form mediates between the adjoining concrete industrial buildings and the century old weatherboard cottages, creating a transition point in the streetscape. The timber screen and shutters which are used to filter the western sun and give the building a solid appearance during the day are back-lit at night to create a sense of lightness and transparency.
